This is a roundup of Weeks 5 and 6 in my Season of Art 101 journal. This season at Get Messy Art Journal community is coming to an end, and I only have 1 last spread to fill in. I am not pressuring myself to finish it this week, but I'm pretty sure I will out some collage there. Or, even better, use a few different techniques that were covered during this Season. We'll see!
Now, Week 5 was the week of line work, pens, drawings and doodles. Unfortunately, I was incredibly busy that week, so I only managed to create one spread. However, I learned so much new and valuable information about different types of pens from EmK! Next tutorial from Elizabeth made me even more eager to start playing with my pens! She gav so many awesome ideas for including more drawing into our journals! This is what I came up with:
Stabilo point 88/50 fine 0,4 pen, collage
I was inspired by Riet to include so called "found poetry" in my journal. I just took a page from an old book and cut out words that spoke to me. Than I arranged them in a poem. It's not the best poem in the world, but this exercise is amazing if you want to get deeper with your art.
As for hands... I am not the best at drawing realisticly. I was going into this doodling exercise with intention to draw them beautifully. But I gave up in midst of drawing the first hand. So, messy sketches it is.
